Tess Smith-Roberts \\ a colourful anthem.

Image
Tess ' illustrations are very joyful, colourful and vivid. There are always a few plants be included in the images. Also, some kind of freedom is in the air... You almost want to dance with those figures! _

Anna Hultin \\ fascinating landscapes.

I've been following Anna Hultin 's artworks for a while, her embroideries always amazed me! How wonderful can you transferred the barren land into a shade of beauty? _

Gavin Snider \\ our little New York on hand.

Image
"I want to wake up in a city THAT doesn't sleep, and find I'm king of the HILL, TOP of the heap..." Yeah, while browsing  Gavin Snider 's gallery, Frank Sinatra (or it's just me humming?) started to sing New York, New York! Real artists can always illustrate the daily life into such a delightful view. The colors are jumping with some cartoon-like storks but still remain the realistic scenes as we see everyday. Love it. _

Tatsuro Kiuchi \\ a delightful afternoon.

Image
Even though  Tatsuro Kiuchi  graduated with a Master's degree from a US university, the traditional Japanese painting styles such as 浮世絵 (Ukiyo-e) and wood-cut pictures influenced him a lot.  I really like the pastel colours in the illustrations, the abstract figures, simple shapes and a unique "light air" atmosphere all around these works. It is such a pleasure to bump into those views while browsing any kind of magazines or books, right? via: ppaper 06 (2005.05 published) _
